Susan Onaitis is a corporate sales trainer, speaker, and author with almost 25 years of sales, sales management, and sales training experience. She was a partner in the New York-based consulting firm, Robert A. Jud & Associates, specializing in sales and management development. Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Sales Training for The Knoll Group, then the office furniture division of Westinghouse. She was responsible for all sales, management and technical training in North America. Onaitis also spent seven years with Avon Products, Inc., where she held various sales management and sales training positions. After a successful 16-year career in the corporate world, she began Global Learning Link in 1996.
Onaitis has designed and conducted sales and management training all over the world for a wide range of companies including Colgate Palmolive, Estee Lauder, Prudential, Baccarat, and Standard & Poor’s. She has spoken to organizations like The National Coast Guard Auxiliary, The Jewelry Couture & Collection Conference, The American Society of Journalists and Authors, The Women’s Leadership Exchange, and The American Society for Training & Development on a variety of sales and management-related topics.
She earned an undergraduate degree in Journalism and a Masters degree in Adult Learning & Instructional Design from Xavier University in Ohio. Onaitis is a member of The Professional Society for Sales & Marketing Training and was awarded that organization’s highest honor, The President’s Award,” for professional contributions. She is also an active member of The New York Business Connection, Women As Mentors, and Executive Women in Home Textiles. In 2004, she was one of 12 national finalists for the American Business Awards "Sales Trainer of the Year".
Onaitis is currently working on two books, both on selling skills. Onaitis is also an Adjunct Professor at New York University and has also taught at Columbia.
